GALVANIC SKIN TREATMENT BENEFITS FOR YOU!

Galvanic facial is a specialized treatment that has numerous benefits for our skin. It is a non-invasive painless procedure. Consider the following:

Skin Purifier and Detoxifier

Galvanic skin treatment exfoliates and detoxifies the skin and results in a youthful, radiant, and relaxed appearance. It stimulates the skin commendably by facilitating lymph drainage, enabling the skin to cleanse itself and drawing out harmful toxins from deep within.

Supplies Moisture and Nutrients

While increasing blood circulation in the skin, galvanic facials nourish the cells by boosting nutrients. Additionally, it increases the skin’s moisture retention capacity, keeping it thoroughly hydrated and moisturized.

Enhances the Elasticity of the Skin

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and begins to sag. It is worsened by environmental pollution, a poor diet, an unhealthy lifestyle, and excessive stress. The galvanic current used in this treatment aids in skin tightening by sloughing off dead cells and promoting cell regeneration. As a result, the skin becomes more elastic and revitalized.

Prevents Aging Signs

Galvanic skin treatment delays the onset of premature aging by increasing skin hydration and minimizing wrinkles and fine lines. It stimulates both cell regeneration and collagen production in the skin, restoring its balance and smoothing it. In other words, it acts as a highly effective, non-invasive skin anti-aging treatment.

Provides Skin That Is Smooth and Radiant

Through deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and complete detoxification, the galvanic facial transforms rough, dull skin into smooth, glowing skin. Additionally, it significantly improves the complexion’s clarity and brightness.

Best Way to Remove Stretch Marks: LASER STRETCH MARK REMOVAL

Laser stretch mark removal is a procedure that can significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks. After treatment and recovery, a patient’s skin appears refreshed, tightened, and renewed.

DOES LASER STRETCH MARK REMOVAL WORK?

Medical studies show that laser treatments stimulate the production of collagen, which improves the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

One of the most successful techniques to reduce the visibility of stretch marks is laser treatment. By modifying the affected areas, the thickening of collagen occurs. As the area absorbs the light, it also promotes your new skin growth.

In this process, new skin cells form to assist with changing the tissue. Once the tissue resembles healthy skin, the laser stretch mark removal treatment concludes. This treatment requires a few sessions to achieve noticeable outcomes.

Laser techniques enhance the surface of the skin due to its “heat and heal” strategy. When the laser energy heats the surface, the energy damages the cells underneath. The reason for this damage is to stimulate the making of collagen. That takes place throughout the skin’s healing phase. Collagen will promote a healthy smooth skin surface.

CAUSES OF STRETCH MARKS

  • Weight fluctuations
  • Genetics
  • Pregnancy
  • Weightlifting
  • Accelerated growth throughout adolescence
At first, these thin grooves have a reddish look. As the marks age, they tend to take on a silvery-white appearance. Grooves can appear in both men and women. Also, adolescents experiencing growth spurts may see stretching. The most common areas are:
  • Stomach
  • Upper Arms
  • Breast
  • Thigh
  • Buttocks
  •  Hips
  •  Underarms

WHAT ARE STRETCH MARKS?

Most of the markings appear due to pregnancy or weight gain or loss. The reason is due to a breakdown of the collagen in the skin. Even though areas such as these never go away on their own, we can help make them not as noticeable.

What Is a Cuticle and How Can You Safely Care for It?

Where’s the cuticle and what does it do?

The cuticle is a layer of clear skin located along the bottom edge of your finger or toe. This area is known as the nail bed. The cuticle function is to protect new nails from bacteria when they grow out from the nail root.

The area around the cuticle is delicate. It can get dry, damaged, and infected. It’s important to care for the entire nail area and keep it clean so that your nails stay healthy.

Read on to learn more about the cuticle and what you can do to care for this area.

Cuticle vs. nail lunula

The cuticle is the transparent skin located above and around the nail base. The lunula is the half-moon shape seen at the base of the nail. The lunula is located above the cuticle.

Hair cuticles

Human hair also contains cuticles. These are different from nail cuticles but have a similar function. Hair cuticles serve as a protective layer for the hair. They’re composed of dead, overlapping cells.

When healthy, these cuticles give your hair shine and protect its inner layers from damage.

We include products we think are useful for our readers. If you buy through links on this page, we may earn a small commission.

How do you take care of your cuticles?

It’s important to keep your cuticles clean at home. This prevents infection.

The easiest way to care for them is to soak your hand or foot in soapy, warm water for around 10 minutes every few days. This helps soften the cuticle and keeps your nails clean.

You can also apply cuticle oil and massage cream. Moisturize your cuticles regularly to prevent dryness and cracking.

Is it safe to cut them?

Research about the safety of cutting cuticles is mixed. Both the Mayo Clinic and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) advise against cutting cuticles. This includes cutting them at home or in a nail salon.

Cuticles protect both your nails and the skin surrounding them from infection. After cutting the cuticle, it’s easier for bacteria and germs to get inside. This can lead to an infection.

Most nail salons continue to cut cuticles, despite these guidelines. They argue that it helps polish go on better and stay on longer.

Instead of having them cut at your next manicure, ask your technician to just push back the cuticle and trim loose skin and hangnails.

This is How Acne Scars Can Fade

Combating acne is one thing; fighting acne scars is another. Even if you have successfully battled acne, the annoying scars can take a long time to fade.

Follow these steps to expedite the healing process and bid farewell to acne scars:

Treating Acne Scars
Treating Acne Scars
  1. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen

Acne marks can become stubborn as a result of sun exposure. Apply a broad spectrum SPF to avoid developing permanent spots. A new scar is more susceptible to sun damage. Without protection from the sun, the color of the marks can quickly change from red or light brown to brown.

  1. Invest in appropriate skincare

Look for AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), glycolic acid, BHA (beta hydroxy acid), and salicylic acid in your skincare products. Regular use of these ingredients, which range from cleansers to exfoliants, will help rejuvenate your skin and fade those stubborn scars.

  1. Concentrate on Vitamin C Acne Scars

Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, works wonders for improving the clarity of the skin. It aids in the fight against free radicals and lightens pigmented spots on the skin. You can either purchase a highly concentrated serum or make your Vitamin C serum at home.

  1. Consult a dermatologist

Consult a dermatologist if you’re dealing with stubborn marks and nothing seems to work. Numerous treatments, ranging from intense pulsed light (IPL) to microdermabrasion to chemical peels, have been successfully used to eliminate scars. Depending on the severity of the scar, you can select the appropriate treatment to eliminate the scars.

WHAT IS CRYOLIPOLYSIS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

What is Cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis, commonly referred to as fat freezing, is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of the body. The procedure is designed to reduce localized fat deposits or bulges that do not respond to diet and exercise. It is not intended for people who are obese or significantly overweight. The technique has been patented under the name Cool-sculpting.

What areas of the body are best suited for Cryolipolysis?

The Food and Drug Administration has approved cryolipolysis to treat fat deposits beneath the chin, upper arms, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, hip, upper back (“brassiere rolls”), lower back, and underneath the buttocks.

How is Cryolipolysis performed?

The procedure can be done in a doctor’s office or outpatient clinic. The size and shape of the fatty deposit is assessed and the area to be treated is outlined with a skin-marking pencil. Patients are awake during the procedure.

A handheld device called an applicator is used to freeze the layer of fat cells underneath the skin. First, a gel pad is applied to the area to protect the skin. Next, the fatty bulge is suctioned or vacuumed into the applicator’s hallow opening. You will feel a tugging or pulling sensation as suction is applied. These sensations, intense cold plus other possible sensations – tingling, stinging, aching, cramping – lessen after 5 to 10 minutes as the area becomes numb during the cooling down process. The fat layer is gradually cooled to the target temperature of between 30.2 and 39.2 degrees Fahrenheit.

It takes up to one hour to treat an area. After the area is treated, the applicator is removed. The area may be massaged for 2 to 3 minutes to assist with the breakdown of the fat cells.

Ask These Questions to Your Doctor before Undergoing Microdermabrasion

To safeguard your health and ascertain your desired outcome, a dermatologist will always offer a consultation before performing microdermabrasion. To ensure that you get the most out of this consultation, you should:

  • Inquire.
  • Gather critical information before your consultation,

The AAD recommends that you ask the following questions before having microdermabrasion:

  • Who is going to administer the microdermabrasion?
  • What kind of results can I anticipate?
  • How many treatments will I require to achieve these outcomes?
  • What are the possible adverse effects?
  • Am I at an increased risk of experiencing any adverse effects?
  • May I view before-and-after photographs or speak with microdermabrasion patients?
  • What will be the cost of treatment?

Your dermatologist will examine your skin during the consultation. This enables you to determine whether microdermabrasion can effectively treat the aging signs that concern you. You may discover that another cosmetic procedure is more appropriate for you. If microdermabrasion is indicated, your dermatologist will discuss the procedure with you.

Vital information to communicate to your dermatologist

Before undergoing microdermabrasion, you should inform your dermatologist of all medical conditions and medications you are currently taking. Your dermatologist must know if you have any of the following:

    • Breakouts of cold sores.
    • Easily scarred skin.
    • Been prescribed isotretinoin, a medication used to treat severe acne.

When your dermatologist inquires about your medications, be sure to disclose all medicines you take, including those that do not require a prescription. Make sure to include all vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements.

Is the Legology Circu-Lite cellulite suction cup worth the faff?

For as long as I was conscious of my body as something with flaws that could be fixed (hello adult womanhood) I have had cellulite.

From being fat to thin and everything between there it has lingered, with an orange-peel texture when standing up to full-on moon craters if I sit the wrong way.

Over these years I’ve tried dry body brushing, standing on a vibrating plate for ten minutes a day, and some strange metal device that warmed up my skin. The fact that I’m still writing this would tell you I’ve not yet managed to rid myself of the dimples.

What is the Circu-Lite cellulite suction cup?

This little cup is made from silicone and can be squeezed onto your skin for a massage.

Legology, who focus on various products designed for – you’ve guessed it – legs, say that ‘with a rolling massage technique’ this can ‘reduce fluid retention, stimulate local metabolism and smooth uneven areas of fat.’

Legology, who focus on various products designed for – you’ve guessed it – legs, say that ‘with a rolling massage technique’ this can ‘reduce fluid retention, stimulate local metabolism and smooth uneven areas of fat.’

Overall this isn’t much faff since I moisturize whenever I get out of the shower anyway, but I also didn’t do the twice-daily routine recommended by Legology (using it three or four times a week instead).

The results

Personally, I haven’t seen the noticeable results that many reviewers of the suction cup have. Despite the numerous treatments out there for cellulite, there’s no evidence that you can ever get rid of it, so that needs to be taken into account.

For some, it’ll be hormonal, and for others genetic. Whatever body shape you have you can have cellulite.

That said, I did enjoy the massage aspect of using the cup and the oil in tandem. My legs felt ‘lighter’ after using it, and since I’m not really that fussed about my dimply skin this was a nicer side-effect than the removal of those often-hated lumps and bumps.

OXYJET TREATMENT: GET YOUTHFUL SKIN, NO NEEDLES

What is OxyJet treatment?

OXYjet treatment is a gentle, completely non-invasive treatment that leaves skin plump, toned, even and glowing. Using high-pressure pulses, pure oxygen and special serums are pushed into the deep layers of your skin.

While the results don’t last as long as injectable treatments, OXYjet offers an instant fix, no needles required.

OXYjet can help with any number of skin issues including acne, lines and wrinkles, loose or sagging skin, uneven skin tone or texture, and tired or dull-looking skin. It’s particularly effective for acne, even cystic acne as oxygen is naturally antibacterial and promotes rapid healing.

How does It work?

The key active component in OXYjet treatments is medical oxygen. As we age, our blood vessels become weaker, so oxygen and other nutrients don’t reach our skin in sufficient quantities. Pure oxygen can restore the energy, freshness, and vitality of youthful skin. Oxygen enhances absorption of any serums used during the treatment, plus it’s naturally antibacterial and has a cool, calming effect. In fact, one scientific study shows the absorption of products with OXYjet is 60 times greater than with typical application.

The OXYjet device, which resembles and airbrush gun, which emits a continuous flow of pure oxygen at a high pressure. The high pressure allows the oxygen, as well as the serums, to penetrate the deeper layers of your skin. You get the maximum benefit from the oxygen and other ingredients used during the treatment.

OXYjet treatment can also stimulate collagen production. When you deliver ingredients directly into the dermis, they wake up dormant skin cells, signalling them to start making collagen again.

You’ll feel a bit of pressure on your face, but nothing uncomfortable or painful. People find it relaxing breathe in the pure oxygen.

KNOW HOW TO PERMANENTLY ELIMINATE DANDRUFF

When it comes to dandruff, it is a widespread problem that almost everyone has to deal with. This scalp condition results in white skin flakes falling from the scalp. Dandruff can be pretty bothersome, ranging from itchy scalp to flaking. To help you treat this condition, we’ve compiled a list of four foolproof ways to eliminate dandruff permanently:

1. You’re going to need to brush your hair

Brushing your hair more frequently helps to exfoliate the scalp and promotes oil production on the scalp. You can choose between plastic or boar bristle brushes, which aid in distributing oil, unclog hair follicles, and even stimulating hair growth.

2. Invest in corrective products

When dealing with dandruff, it’s critical to invest in a good cleansing shampoo. Seek out hair care products that contain zinc pyrithione, a dandruff-fighting ingredient. It aids in the prevention of dandruff and even helps keep flakes at bay. Additionally, while shampooing, ensure that you thoroughly clean your scalp, as product build-up will only result in dandruff.

3. Scalp exfoliation

This step may seem novel, but it can be highly effective in treating flakiness. You can use exfoliants on your hair or even a brush with dense bristles. All that is required is to buff the brush across the scalp to remove the flakes. If you have a sensitive scalp, hair masks can help remove excess oil, product build-up, and dirt.

4. Consistently wash your hair

You must wash your hair regularly to avoid product build-up. This will assist in preventing clogged hair follicles, which can result in dandruff. Ideally, you should wash your hair 2-3 times per week, using a gentle cleansing shampoo and massaging your scalp.
