HeatID Mode:

Set your HeatID profile: Tap and toggle through each HeatID icon to input your HeatID profile:

Are these worth it? Absolutely, they are. My advice to any new and older experienced riders, is to invest heavily in quality gear and these vests and jackets make the odds better on surviving an accident with less injuries. 

What the statistics are saying

The World Health Organisations latest report on the Global Status on Road Safety, highlights that the number of annual road traffic deaths worldwide reached 1.35 million.

Road traffic injuries are now the leading killer of people aged between 5 to 29 years old. 28 percent of these deaths are of motorcyclists. 

If you are a safety conscious rider, or have kids or a partner who regularly rides, then airbag vests are a personal protection item.

How do Tethered Airbags work?

The vests and jackets available today strike a nice balance between safety, comfort, and looking good.

Airbag vests are lighter than jackets, but still offer the same amount of protection. They easily fit over your normal jacket or clothes.

These are all fitted with a high-speed airbag deployment system. This is controlled by a coiled wire lanyard. The lanyard is attached to a point on the bike and linked to the chest area of the vest by a quick release connection.

The airbag is activated as soon as the rider and motorcycle become separated during an accident. The coiled wire pulls a ‘key’ out of a gas release system and inert gas inflates the air cushion.

THE GOAL

There are four reasons I rely on hot rollers versus the other curling methods.

1. Volume. Instead of only giving a curl, hot rollers give nice bounce and bit of lift at the root. This is especially the case on day 2 or 3 of washing, when you have that lift paired with a bit of dry shampoo.

2. Its curl is super natural-looking. Strangers sometimes ask if my hair is natural or if I styled it, which to me is the best compliment. For it to not be a given that I style my hair is my goal!

3. The results are low-maintenance. Because of that natural-looking aspect, I don’t have to do much in the way of styling, or worry about errant hairs when I flip my hair around. Even when it’s a bit messy it still looks presentable.

4. There’s great return on time investment. While my hair is on the straight side, it’s not exactly pin-straight either. What I love about hot rollers is it gives the hair good direction—meaning when the curls loosen and fade even days later that directional wave is still intact. After using hot rollers, even when my hair’s been snowed on, rained on it’ll still be more together-looking than my natural hair. Putting in just 5 minutes of hot roller time will make my hair more presentable for DAYS.

I wanted to share a quick review and my personal experience with the Elvie Breast Pump with you guys tonight. It’s been a complete GAME-CHANGER for me and has made pumping a heck of a lot easier.

So while you’re doing other things you can check the app to see how much milk you’ve produced without having to actually look at the pump. You can also track your pumping history so you don’t have to remember or log what time you last pumped. It also charges with a phone charger.
