Clearlift Laser Treatment: Tightening & Brightening- Your Next-Level Facial

0

Clearlift Laser Treatment is non-ablative treatment which makes use of specially designed handpieces to deliver heat energy to the skin, tightening and brightening the skin.

What can Clearlift Laser Treatment do for me?

This treatment stimulates collagen production underneath the skin’s surface to keep skin looking tight and young. This also improves pore size, and lightens overall complexion.

What can the Expert Cleanse do for me?

If this treatment will be done at the recommended interval, you can expect less blackheads, and whiteheads as a result of regular professional extractions and serum infusion. The Expert Cleanse also ensures that your face is thoroughly cleansed, exfoliated, and smooth before the Clearlift laser handpieces glides over it.

What service/s can I avail of along with the Clearlift Laser Treatment?

Pixel Laser Resurfacing + Clearlift = the ultimate power-duo for tackling rougher texture, deeper scars and deeper pigmentation

Suggested treatment combination plan:

  • Week 1: Clearlift Laser Treatment
  • (2 weeks rest)
  • Week 4: Pixel Laser Resurfacing
  • (4 weeks rest)
  • Week 8: Clearlift Laser Treatment
  • (and so on and so forth)*

*number of sessions depends on the result of your assessment from our skin therapists

What does the treatment feel like?

The feeling may be like being flicked by a thin rubber band as the laser deliver tiny heat points to the dermis but does not cause damage to the skin’s outer layer. In case you have a low pain tolerance, we advise that you take oral pain killers at least 30 mins prior to your treatment.

How long will the treatment be?

Overall treatment time will be 1 hour and 10 mins. Thirty minutes will be for your complimentary no-pricking facial, while the actual Clearlift laser treatment will take 40 minutes.

How long is the downtime?

There is no downtime, but you may experience the following:

  • You will experience mild blushing, warm skin and white vellus hair, which are all normal and temporary reactions.
  • It is possible to experience small red bumps, or acne form eruptions. These are uncommon but normal and temporary.

How should I prepare before the treatment?

4 weeks:

  • Have not done any ablative laser procedures, chemical peels, dermabrasion

2 weeks:

  • Are not sunburnt, peeling from sun exposure

1 week:

  • Have not done any laser treatments, no Retin-A, Retinol, or Tretinoin

3 days:

  • Have not used any strong chemical peeling products such as glycolic acid (more than 10%), lactic acid (more than 10%), salicylic acid (more than 2%); have not used any whitening products containing: kojic acid, hydroquinone

Thermage vs. Ultherapy

0

Thermage is a nonsurgical procedure that uses radiofrequency (RF) to help tighten and smooth skin by promoting new collagen growth. RF waves induce heat into the skin that treats outer skin and then extends inward.

Thermage is generally recommended for:

  • face
  • eye area
  • abdominal area
  • thighs

One advantage to Thermage is its ability to treat larger areas. A single treatment takes about 30 to 90 minutes depending on the treatment area, and there is little to no downtime.

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy uses ultrasound imaging to bypass the skin’s surface and stimulate collagen production in the desired areas.

Ultrasound is best known for targeting smaller, deeper skin layers. In this way, Ultherapy is touted as treating the skin from the inside out.

Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure for lifting and tightening the areas around the:

  • brow line
  • chin
  • neck
  • chest

The company that designed Ultherapy put protocols in place that allow it to be used on the face. It’s specifically approved for use on the lower face.

Procedures are done in a medical office and a local anesthetic can be used to help prevent discomfort. However, it’s not enough to manage the pain during treatment.

Currently, PRO-NOX, which is nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is primarily used for pain management. It doesn’t replace the anesthetic, but in combination with other pain management protocols, such as taking ibuprofen (Motrin) prior to the procedure, it helps with pain relief.

Skin may appear red and irritated immediately following treatment, but this typically resolves in a few hours. You can resume regular activities following the procedure, as no downtime is required.

What are the differences between Thermage and Ultherapy?

Thermage and Ultherapy are similar in many ways, but there are some notable differences to be aware of before deciding on the right treatment for you.

Types of energy

The main difference between Thermage and Ultherapy is the type of energy each uses to restore collagen productionRadiofrequency is used for Thermage, while Ultherapy uses ultrasound.

This energy difference is important because ultrasound can generally reach deeper into the dermal layer.

What You Need To Know About The Electric Makeup Brush Cleaner

Makeup brush is extremely valuable to every makeup lover, but sometimes it can get quite tiresome to clean them all. It is important to take care of these brushes as dirty brushes won’t only mix your previous makeup onto your new one, but also can be bad for your skin. The amount of dust, oil, dead skin cells and makeup residue that has been accumulated on your brushes can cause your skin to break out. Cleaning them regularly and thoroughly is an absolute must even if it’s a lot of work. Washing these brushes in the old school way is not only exhausting, but it also takes them forever to dry.

It’s time for us to let go of cleaning the brushes by hand but instead opt for a much quicker, effective and resourceful way with the electric makeup brush cleaner. This cleaner not only cleans your brushes in minutes but also dries them for you to use almost immediately. It is highly efficient, durable and perfect for every makeup maniac.

An Electric Makeup Brush Cleaner Consists Of:

  • A Cleaning Bowl
  • Brush Heads
  • Motor Head

How It Works

  1. To use the electric cleaner, mix water and washing liquid in the cleaning bowl.
  2. Then, take the required brush head and attach the makeup brush that you want to clean.
  3. Attach the motorhead.
  4. Dip the makeup brush into the cleaning bowl and switch on the motorhead. The brush will start spinning once you switch it on, which cleans the brush.
  5. Once cleaned, remove the brush from the bowl and switch on the motorhead again so that the brush spins and dries it properly.

How is it better

Not only is the electric brush cleaner convenient, it’s also very quick which cleans and dries the brush very easily. On silicone mats, we tend to over scrub our brushes that can end up damaging the brushes. The silicon mat’s bristles can be quite rough for the brush whereas cleaning the brush on the palm of your hand will not guarantee to completely clean your brush. With this electric brush cleaner, brushes can be cleaned easily and can also be done just before you try on a makeup look.

What is AFT (Photo- Rejuvenation Treatment)?

0

AFT is the latest intense pulsed light (IPL) laser treatment technology. It is a non-invasive procedure that improves skin tone and texture. It effectively enhances photodamaged (sun-damaged) skin and addresses other superficial skin problems.

AFT photorejuvenation treatment is safe and effective as it increases emission and penetration of light but also doesn’t damage the skin. It delivers Equally Distributed Fluence which enables every pulse to have a uniform density of energy through the whole output. Side effects that were connected to traditional IPL treatments are minimized now because of the lower energy. This maximizes patients’ safety and comfort.

How Does AFT Photorejuvenation Treatment Work?

Photorejuvenation treatment is sometimes called photo-facial. It is a non-invasive and fast skin rejuvenation procedure that uses intensive pulses of broadband light and treats discoloration of the skin and photo aging at the surface of the skin or at the cellular level. It gives a younger-looking and smoother appearance to the skin.

IPL light penetrates deep into the epidermis and causes collagen fibers and blood vessels to constrict but it doesn’t damage the top layer of the skin. It is so effective because the targeted light is absorbed by melanin and red blood cells deep in the skin and it intentionally damages the area where it is directed. This is when the pigmentation is broken up but at the same time cells are woken up and transform the patchy, red or sun-damaged skin to a more even and smoother complexion.

This special technique, known also as pulsed light therapy, emits intense, bright light on different areas of the skin. The therapist uses a handpiece called an IPL device that has a glass or laser surface tip. The tip is pressed to the targeted areas and emits light that disrupts the collagen beneath the skin and heats it up. This way the body is stimulated to produce more of this collagen that eventually fills in wrinkles and fine lines on the face, reduces discoloration and flushing and can fill in shallow acne scars.

What Can I Expect From Sculpting Devices For The Face?

The search for anti-aging techniques, with a wide range of products, devices, and professional treatments, is infinite. One of the latest options out there is the use of sculpting devices to be used at home.

The Shani Darden Skin Care Facial Sculpting Wand promises an experience similar to a professional clinic at home. It is said to have an acoustic ultrasound technology that is transmitted by gentle vibrations.

What Can I Expect From Sculpting Devices For The Face?

With that, there is stimulation in the facial muscles responsible for crow’s feet, frown lines, and parentheses lines. If there is continued use, the wand will also soften these muscles, creating a smoother and less-furrowed skin surface.

The main difference between the acoustic ultrasound waves and microcurrent devices is the depth and direction of their energy transmission. In ultrasound devices, the waves go deeper in the skin surface and move vertically, working on deep muscle and giving firmer and more lifted-looking skin without invasive procedures.

Another very interesting difference in this device is that the wand comes with two different head attachments, a flat disk, and a precision ball. The flat disk is recommended for larger areas, such as neck, jaw, cheeks, and forehead, while the precision ball is made for smaller and more delicate regions, such as the eye and lip areas.

The routine usually takes up to 10 minutes a day and a tutorial is given by the company, so it will be done in the best way to achieve maximum results.

Although pricey, it can be a great device to improve the facial appearance in a very easy, quick, and painless way and also with very new and promising technology.

Treatments Of Melasma – What Techniques Are Effective?

0

Melasma is known for being stubborn skin pigmentation, in which melanin production increases. It can come and go according to the situation the person is in (like the use of medicaments, unprotected sun exposure, and stress).

Treatments Of Melasma – What Techniques Are Effective?
Treatments Of Melasma – What Techniques Are Effective?

The treatment can be done with topical and oral medications and chemical peels, along with the use of sunscreen every day but some alternative treatments like laser sessions and light therapy are also indicated.

These treatments are usually prescribed in cases of refractory melasma or when the patient desires an accelerated pace of improvement. They target the removal of pathways for melanin, not in the production itself and are not permanent cures, just remove the already present pigmentation.

The most used techniques nowadays are the following:

  • Intense pulsed light
  • Low influence Q-switched lasers
  • Non-ablative fractionated lasers
  • Ablative fractionated lasers
  • Picosecond lasers

In general, intense pulsed light presents modest results but with the advantage of penetrating all skin layers with a low risk of thermal-related post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Q-switched lasers need more applications to obtain visible results; non-ablative lasers present a durable response and blend well with the non-pigmented skin. Ablative fractionated lasers have a very high risk of post inflammation and hyperpigmentation, so it should be used with caution. Picosecond lasers are a new class of treatment with great pigment removal without damaging the surrounding skin.

Treatments Of Melasma – What Techniques Are Effective?

To summarize, the use of light and laser treatments to Melasma conditions are a great alternative, with quick and visible results but should always be done with professionals to avoid damages and the use of sunscreen cannot be skipped, to guarantee the skin lightening effect.

  • increases elastin by 64%
  • increases the thickness of the dermis by 44%.

Numbers say it all – EMTONE® really provides scientifically proven results.

Why Does Cellulite Appear?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a clear answer to this question. Cellulite is associated with connective fibrous bands that tie up the skin to the muscles that lie underneath and are surrounded by fat tissue. When the fat cells pile up they go up to the surface of the skin and long, strong connective fibers pull the skin down. This is when a dimpling or uneven surface of the skin is created.

So, gaining weight can be connected to getting more cellulite, but slim people can also have it. Cellulite could be associated with genetics – it determines a person’s skin texture and structure and body type. Hormonal changes in the body can contribute to cellulite appearance also. If people live inactive lives they are more prone to cellulite but some fit people also struggle with it.

Mild cellulite is seen only if people pinch the skin in the area where they have it. But cellulite can be severe and even noticeable with the eye – it makes the skin look rumpled and bumpy.

It comes down to this – everyone can have cellulite, women a bit more than men and no matter how much people exercise or keep a strict diet it still prevails. People can even turn to massages and anti-cellulite creams, and sometimes they manage to reduce it a little bit, but sometimes they don’t.

EMTONE® Always Works

EMTONE® applicator delivers safe electrical energy to the skin and emits waves that stimulate the skin. Do You Need A Mini Fridge For Your Skin Care Products?

One of the latest trends on skincare devices is the use of mini-fridge to keep the products cool. They are compact and come in many different colors and models. These mini devices are known to make the products last longer and improve the application experience.

Some of the most interesting items to keep in a fridge are sheet masks, serums, eye creams and other face tools. The cooling effect soothes the skin and reduces redness, which can be useful after esthetic procedures. It is a great strategy to use first thing in the morning, as we usually wake up puffy and the cold will revive the skin.

Products with Vitamin C, retinol or with fewer preservatives will last longer, as the cool, dark, and dry place is the perfect environment to avoid instability in the formulations. Beyond that, the low temperature can make ingredients stay potent for longer periods of time, especially antioxidants, growth factors, and peptides.

Also, the mini-fridges vary on temperature levels, so that’s important to consider when choosing one. Some models even have a warming function. They also have differences in terms of portability, as some require one stable place to be, and others can be taken on the go and even plugged into car chargers.

It is important to note that not all products can be left in a fridge, especially in lower temperatures. Products like creams and oils can become hard and difficult to use if too cold.

This way, if you want to invest in something new for your skincare routine, a mini-fridge might be just the thing, as it will take the application of products and their effects to the next level.

What is iPixel Laser Skin Resurfacing?

0

iPixel Laser is used for fractional skin resurfacing. It is a safe and effective method of significantly improving the skin appearance, with long-lasting results and minimal discomfort. It reduces the aging signs and enhances skin tone and texture. The treatment is also suitable for reducing acne and other scars on the skin.

The treatment stimulates the body’s natural healing processes and as a result, achieves collagen production and growth of healthy tissue.

iPixel Laser treatment is FDA-approved for fractional skin resurfacing and its technology has been greatly improved compared to traditional laser treatments. It achieves glowing, healthy and youthful-looking skin.

How Does iPixel Laser Treatment Work?

iPixel laser treatment is unique because it combines the results of the ablative laser technique with the patient’s comfort and delicacy of the non-ablative technique.

During the treatment, the beams of the pixel laser are split up into more beams that can make a 7×7 or 9×9 pattern. The beams go through the epidermis and the upper dermis and create pixels or microscopic heat zones. How deep the beams penetrate depends on the number of pulses.

In the 7×7 pattern, the energy is greater and goes deeper into the skin which makes it effective when treating wrinkles and acne scars.

In the 9×9 pattern, the energy is lower and it is used for gentle peeling of melasma for example.

In both patterns, each treatment point receives more fluency compared to the traditional laser therapy. This is what makes this treatment an outstanding skin resurfacing procedure.

The surrounding skin is unharmed and it triggers a fast wound healing and growth of new skin cells. This results in a rejuvenated skin appearance and smoother skin.

The patient feels slight discomfort because the depth of penetration is minimal. As this laser treatment affects only a fraction of the targeted area it can be safely performed on sensitive areas like the lower and upper eyelids, neck, décolletage, hands and arm.

What can iPixel Laser Address?

iPixel Laser therapy can address almost all body areas. Usually, the treatment is performed on areas that are most vulnerable to aging and photodamage like:

●      The face

●      The neck

●      Décolletage

●      Hands

●      Arms

The treatment can be used to treat:

●      Fine lines and wrinkles

●      Acne and other scars

●      Uneven skin tone and texture

●      Large pores

●      Photodamage

●      Pigmentation

●      Stretch marks

●      Skin laxity
