Jada System for Postpartum Hemorrhage: Interview with Rob Binney, CEO of Alydia Health

Alydia Health, a company based in Menlo Park, California, has developed the Jada System, a device designed to stop postpartum hemorrhage. The condition involves heavy bleeding after delivery of a baby. Affected women can experience extended hospital stays, and, unfortunately, can sometimes die. In fact, postpartum hemorrhage is a leading cause of maternal death in the US.

Current treatments for the condition are not ideal, and include medications that can be too slow to work, and an inflatable balloon that slows or stops the bleeding, but takes 12-24 hours to work and can be uncomfortable.

These issues inspired the founders of Alydia Health to design a new device that dramatically improves postpartum hemorrhage treatment. Their solution is the Jada System, a thin tube with a silicone tip that is inserted into the uterus, and which applies gentle suction to rapidly stop bleeding. The company has applied for FDA approval and hopes that the device will be available by the end of the year. Read more…

How does it work?

The Stop X rejuvenates the layers of the dermis homogeneously for faster, safer and
more effective treatment. Using the TriPollar Stop X device 2-3 times a week for 6-8 weeks can effectively postpone the signs of aging.

We recommend that you continue to use Stop X device 2-4 times a month in order to maintain the results.

Directions:

• Cleanse and dry the face/neck area
• Apply a very thin layer of the TriPollar Stop Preparation Gel over the entire treatment area (face and/or neck). This gel must be used during the entire treatment process.
• Turn the device ON by pressing the Power button. Make sure that the green indicator light turns ON.
• Select the power setting (Low/High) that is most comfortable.
• Divide the face to 3 treatment areas (Right Cheek, Left Cheek, Forehead)
• Place the device on the skin, make sure to apply a slight pressure in order to assure full contact between the electrodes and the skin.
• Move the device in a very slow circular motion on a small part of your treatment area, slowly heating your skin to the optimal temperature.
• Once the orange indicator light illuminates followed by a ‘beep’ sound, you have reached the optimal temperature. Continue the same slow circular motion for a few seconds, then gradually enlarge the movements in the treatment area.
• Continue working on the entire treatment area in slow circular motion for 4-5 minutes, and proceed to the next treatment area, repeating the above steps.
• Once finished press the power button for two seconds to turn the device off
• Gently remove the TriPollar Stop Preparation Gel for skin and wash face.
• Clean the electrodes of the device with a damp cloth and cover the device tip with its protective cover.  Read more
