  • Wet your hands with clean, running water (it can be warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply hand wash.
  • Rub the hand together to create foam. It is essential to clean the backs of your hands, knuckles, between the fingers, and under the nails.
  • Scrub hands for at least 20 seconds. It is approximately the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.
  • Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.
  • Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
