How Long Should You Leave A Sheet Mask On Your Face?

In addition to moisturizing your skin, sheet masks are among the best ways to pamper your skin at home. The transparent sheets are impregnated with refreshing and hydrating essences and even give an instant glow to your skin.

How long should you leave the mask on?

One of the biggest myths about sheet mask usage is that putting on the mask for a long time will produce better results but this is completely wrong. It can cause more harm to your skin. The vast majority of sheet masks come with instructions, which provide detailed instructions on how long to apply the product. Most sheet masks provide you with a fifteen to a twenty-minute window in which to use them.

Sheet masks, when used for so long, can have the opposite effect, as the sheet absorbs moisture and essence from the skin.

When to Remove It?

The best time to remove the sheet is when you think that it is dry already.  After removing the sheet mask, you will no longer need to wash your face as you will allow all the essence to remain on your face.  Just pat on the essence left and let it soak in.

You may find the essence remaining on the skin to be too sticky. If this is the case, you can gently pat the tissue paper on top of the essence to absorb it.
