WORLD MILK DAY: Milk is considered to be one of the most sacred foods in the Indian culture. Sipping milk offers a wide range of benefits to the body and bones but did you know including milk in your beauty routine can completely transform your skin? 1st June is celebrated as World Milk Day, so we’re taking the opportunity to show you how to reap maximum benefits out of this power packed ingredient.

As a foot soak

Dry and cracked heels are a common skin problem and if you’re looking for natural way to soften your heels here’s one.

Use: In a foot soak tub add 4 cups of warm water and 2 cups of warm milk. Rub your cracked heels with a pumice stone and wipe off with a towel.

For cleansing

Milk is an excellent cleansing formula, it removes all the trapped dirt and oil without disrupting the natural moisture balance of your skin. It also unclogs pores preventing blackheads and acne.

Use: Take a clean cotton ball and dab it in raw milk. Massage face with this in circular motions for five minutes and then wash off with warm water.

For exfoliation

Rich in AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid), milk helps remove excess dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, thereby revealing soft, glowing skin beneath.

Use: Take equal amounts of raw milk and honey in a bowl. Mix the ingredients well and massage for 10 minutes before washing off.
