The importance of facial protection against sun rays is mostly talked about and because of that, we always seek the latest sunscreen and cosmetic treatments to avoid aging in the area. But the décolletage skin is as important as the face, as it is frequently exposed to possible damages. Unfortunately, it does not receive the attention it needs.
Frequent and unprotected exposure can lead to a more intense aging process, with premature wrinkling, sunspots, collagen breakdown, visible blood vessels and even commonly found skin cancer.
At the dermatologist office, you might get recommended treatments like microneedling, laser therapy or chemical peels but there is also an at-home alternative to improve the damages that have already been done.
A specifically designed device to fit the neck and chest area (for example, the décoLITE, from the face lite company) uses LED red and near infra-red light therapy to improve the aging signs, leaving the skin feeling softer and with less spots and better texture.
It will also promote pain relief, as will increase blood flow, and cause temporary relaxation of muscles and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, pore size and tissue oxygenation. This portable and flexible device uses two proven wavelengths of light of 633nm (red light) and 830nm (near infra-red light) which have been studied to promote collagen production and by that, rebuild the damage caused by the aging process. For protecting the skin against new damages, the daily use of an adequate product is recommended. It will make a great pair to be used in the treatment with LED devices.
