The Benefits Of Having A HEPA Air Purifier At Home

In the last couple of years, we have understood the importance of breathing clean and safe air, as it could be the invisible transmitter of many diseases. In this context, small but still effective air purifiers at home have become a trend, as they would bring a higher safety to the user’s home.

The air purifiers that contain a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter are a highlight as they are specially designed to remove particles (like dust, mold, pollen, bacteria, viruses, and more) from the surrounding air. A HEPA filter can trap particles as small as 0.3 microns. It works by air particles passing through the filters, in which pollutants are trapped in the fibers. The interesting thing is that as larger particles stick to the filter, they at the same time keep other smaller particles from passing through.

To choose the right device, it is crucial to look for portable filters designed for the room size you are trying to use it in. Furthermore, try to avoid air cleaners that generate ozone and ensure it fits on the correct industry ratings (designated HEPA filter, CADR rated, and manufacturer states the product filters most particles smaller than 1 micron).

The brands Honeywell, Levoit, Winix, Blueair, and Conway have great reviews of HEPA air filters to search from.

In conclusion, air purifiers aim to filter tiny particles from the air as it passes through these devices. Although HEPA filters aren’t the only way to do this, they are recognized as highly effective, filtering some of the smallest particles from the air.
