Snoring is a widespread condition, as it is estimated that 40% of adults snore. It can have multiple origins, like weight gain, alcohol consumption, colds and allergies, and even sleep positions.
The treatment options are also diverse, including technological devices that use different methods to improve snoring. Considering that the principle of this condition is relaxed tongue, mouth tissues and throat. So the air passes, creating vibrations and sounds.
The Smart Nora device uses positional therapy to avoid snores, as it will move the head position while sleeping and snoring, which can shift from the back sleep position to the side. It consists of a system that includes a wireless, mic-equipped device that stays nearby to detect snoring sounds. When the equipment hears the noise, an under-bed base station pumps air through a tube to insert the pillow.

The SnoreRx Plus is a very well-reviewed tool for sleepers who prefer the feel of a mandibular advancement device and whose jaw placement preferences vary nightly. It is custom made through boil-and-bite molding and allows full mouth breathing.
Chin straps are also trendy for snore treatments as they push the mouth closed so that breathing through the nose is forced. Another alternative is the nasal strips, which consist of plastic strips that pull the nose’s sides to open the nasal passages. These strips also promise instant relief from congestion and are usually scented lavender or mint.
Many more options are available in the market. Their efficacy varies depending on the frequency of snoring, so finding the best one is a very personal decision in terms of price, technology, size and portability.
