Frequently Asked Questions about Vitamin C in Your Skincare Routine

Including a vitamin C-rich product in your routine is a must. Indeed, it will address so many skin concerns simultaneously that you will not require an elaborate skincare routine

Is it safe to combine Vitamin C and sunscreen?

Vitamin C is recommended to be used in conjunction with sunscreen during the day. Combining the antioxidant properties of Vitamin C with the UV protection provided by sunscreens is more effective than using sunscreen alone at neutralizing free radical damage caused by sun exposure.

How can you incorporate Vitamin C into your evening routine?

Vitamin C serum should be applied at night after toning and before moisturizing. Vitamin C-infused creams, on the other hand, should be applied as the final step in your routine. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen in the morning to avoid sunburn.

Is it safe to combine Vitamin C and salicylic acid in one routine?

It is not recommended to combine vitamin C and any other type of acid in the same routine, as this can upset your skin’s pH balance. However, if you are using vitamin C to treat acne scars, use it in the morning and salicylic acid at night.
